High density polyethylene (HDPE) is light-weight, corrosion-resistant, flexible, long-lasting, and economical, making it an ideal material for buried or submerged pipelines.

One of the most voiced concerns is that mechanical joints may not perform as well as fused joints in buried or submerged applications.
